WebJan 8, 2024 · Remove the bolt from the rifle. Place the bolt upside down in a vise. Use a 5/16" Allen wrench to unscrew the firing pin from the bolt. Remove the old firing pin spring. Install the new firing pin spring and reassemble the bolt. Install the bolt back into the rifle and test the trigger. Remove the bolt from the rifle. On the opposite side, you should be able to locate the slide release fairly easily. Push up on the release and pull the slide back completely.
